Mr. Glenn Russo

Executive Director and Founder of IOF

Glenn and Alicia Russo, adoptive parents themselves, had prayed for an opportunity to serve God.  Due to their previous adoption experience, they received a newsletter that included an article about a Summer Camp/Hosting program for orphans.  This article was an answer to their prayers. Glenn contacted the agency running the Summer Camp to see how they could help.  Impressed with the program (which gives orphans an opportunity to spend several weeks in the United States with prospective adoptive parents), and moved by the cause, they decided to financially support the Summer Camp program.

Recognizing, however, that not every one of the world’s 35 million orphans will get adopted, the Russos soon realized there was a great need to ensure that all orphans would have someone close by to care for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.  Thus, the International Orphans Foundation was born, with the exclusive goal of helping orphans in their distress.

With the heart of a true entrepreneur, Glenn has ventured into various areas of Real Estate investment, and has met with considerable success.  But it is with the heart of a Father that he founded International Orphans Foundation, Inc. in 2000.  His vision for a permanent home and loving family for orphans drives the efforts of IOF.  Due to his tireless commitment to this vision, and God's abundant blessings, the hopes and dreams of many orphans have come true as they were welcomed into the arms of their loving parents.

Glenn and Alicia believe that every child is a gift from God and each and everyone of us has the potential, within our lifetime, of:

        changing the world ...

                           one child at a time.
