How much is the average cost for an adoption?
The costs can vary greatly, depending on the country of origin and the individual child’s situation (i.e., special provisions are made for older children or children with special needs). However, you can expect an adoption to cost $10,000 - $20,000, excluding travel. (Travel requirements vary from country to country and must be considered on an individual basis.)

Does IOF offer any financial assistance?
While IOF doesn’t offer assistance monetarily, we are aware of resources to help you fund your adoption, such as available grants. We also have arrangements with a national bank to create a loan program. We will do everything we can to share that information with you and help insure your financial needs are met.

We have considered adoption, but wonder about the dynamics with our other children. What would you suggest?
IOF offers a program called Journey of Hope. We at IOF recognize that wondering about the unknown can be a little scary. In fact, the biggest gap between an orphaned child and a loving family is fear of the unknown. Journey of Hope can help answer some of the questions you and your family are facing, thereby bridging that gap.

For more information contact us or select Journey of Hope.
